Role: Senior Web Developer Position Summary/Purpose: To assist in updates and enhancements to web pages. This position requires excellent technical knowledge, interpersonal communication skills, creative abilities and a high level of dependability. This position requires ability to complete projects in a timely manner, prioritize tasks, and to recognize the need for and implement improvements during development. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Uses PHP, MYSQL, XML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Perl, CGI, and/or other technical knowledge and programming skills to develop searchable/interactive web pages as assigned - Works with project manager, developers, and designers in creation of dynamic web applications Experience: Education: - BS/MS in Computer Science or SW Engineering Qualifications: - 5+ years of web development experience - Must have experience working in a high traffic environment (load balancers, caching, propagation of static generated pages, etc.) - Must have mastery of PHP & MySQL with at least 3 years experience - Understanding of Sub-Queries, Transactions, and Foreign Keys - Ability to understand Regular Expressions - Experience working in a command line environment, preferably Linux or FreeBSD - Experience working with source revision systems such as CVS or Subversion - Experience with AJAX web applications a plus - Experience with C++ or Java is a plus - Experience with Flash 7 or later development a plus - Knowledge of Online Advertising concepts and development a plus - Must be familiar with advanced content management systems (CMS). - The ability to analyze and work with existing code is mandatory - Candidates must have an accessible online portfolio to showcase their work - Candidates must supply source code (at least 40 lines) to demonstrate their knowledge To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
