Title: Business Analyst
Role: Database Development
Business: Commercial Banking Operations Group
Responsibilities will include:
. Developing adhoc reports
. Prototyping Access databases to test different types of accounts reconciliation capabilities. If they achieve the desired outcome, they will then be put into production.
. Export info from SQL Server into Access, Excel and PDF formats for various reporting purposes
. Perform a wealth of analysis work. Will be involved in financial analysis, database analysis and pre-project planning.
. Will develop SQL queries for extracting, importing and interrogating data.

. A strong work ethic, a good attitude, good references and a team-centric mentality is just as important as the required technical skills.
. The corporate databases that they have export information from are very large. They do not have the authority to edit these tables. The databases and reports that they create on a local level are much smaller. This group is entirely responsible for the creation, implementation and support of these local database / reporting efforts.
Experience: Experience requirements:
. Understanding of Accounting principles is important. Candidate should know what a balance sheet is and have some understanding of GL, AP, AR and general
accounts reconciliation.
. Good background in Access/VBA
. Good SQL skills
. Must be detail-oriented. Will have a wealth of analysis responsibilities, must be good with analyzing numbers for accuracy
. Good organizational skills. Will often be asked to perform adhoc tasks for some financial analysis purpose. Will work with a team to analyze and allocate
responsibilities and for developing project timelines.
. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
. This is an enjoyable team to work on. They are somewhat laid-back, but are committed to getting the job done at whatever cost. This is primarily an 8-5 job, but you will be required to stay late at times to complete a job. The ideal candidate will have a sense of ownership.
. Banking or financial industry experience is a plus.
