PURPOSE:

To provide administrative and analytical support for the client IT Program Management Office (PMO) team. Prepare budgeting, project scheduling, and statistical reports as required. Define, maintain and support PM processes through the creation of Project Management templates and guides. Administer Project & Portfolio Management system for the IT department for Time Tracking, Resource Management, Project Management and Project/Portfolio level reporting

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Collaborate with Project Managers within the client PMO team as well as the Finance organization to generate and track time, labor, and expenses associated with all IT projects.
? Provide reports and queries to the client IT management to monitor and measure project and staff performance.
? Consolidation, manipulation, and organization of detailed financial data using Microsoft Excel?s formulas
? Prepares documents, spreadsheets, reports and presentations, as needed
? Creates and/or maintains appropriate logs, databases, inventories, filing (hard or soft copy), status reports/tracking
? Assist Project Managers with generation of project status and financial analysis reports, including, but not limited to analyzing actual, scheduled and budgeted metrics
? Recommend and assist in executing process improvement
? Holds/Attends Kickoff/status meetings as necessary
? Developing/editing of PowerPoint presentations with graphics and animation
? Assist with conference projects as needed
? Develop and maintain Project Management templates (Ex. status reports, budget forecasts, risk plans, etc.)
? Contribute to the overall client?s IT Project Management Methodology

DECISION MAKING/ACCOUNTABILITY:

? Interacts with all levels of the organization, including senior members of the IT organization as well as the line of business.
? Required to work independently to provide Project Management guidance to the clients IT Project Managers, Application Development Managers and IT/Operations Managers
? Required to communicate with senior IT Management to communicate project delivery metrics and status as well as IT Resource forecasts

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

? Knowledge of Project Management best practices and methodologies (ex. PRINCE2, PMBOK)
? Strong PC skills, specifically advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills and MS Projects Standard are required. Working knowledge of MS Project Professional a plus
? Implementation and administration of CA-Clarity and/or Planview Enterprise required
? Financial background or experience highly desired

Essential Responsibilities
Customer Service
The System Administrator will frequently interact with clients to help resolve escalated issues and execute system builds/project work. The System Administrator must exercise sound customer service skills in dealing with clients.

Problem Ownership
The System Administrator is the first level of escalation for operational issues. Once an issue is escalated from a System Technician, the System Administrator owns the technical aspects of the issue until completion or turn over to another Administrator or Engineer. The System Administrator is responsible for investigation of "routine" errors and making recommendations for their resolution.

Monitoring
The System Administrator will at times be required to provide first level monitoring of hosted environment. During those times, the System Administrator is responsible for monitoring proprietary monitoring software for potential network, hardware and software issues. A System Administrator will act on all alerts in a manner consistent with the published procedures and Service Level Agreements.

Technical Support
The System Administrator will perform routine and emergency administration of hosted systems and sub-systems in accordance with standard procedures and processes. As new projects are defined and scoped, the System Administrator will be responsible for completing the system build, (including racking and cabling) to defined specifications and coordinating the work of System Technicians as necessary.

Experience/Education Required
Linux Red Hat support in an enterprise environment is required
Microsoft Server 2000/2003 support is required
Local travel (40 mile radius) is required
Ability to lift 30 pounds
3 - 5 year experience in complex server environments
SQL, DNS, web hosting support preferred
Certification in Microsoft, Linux, databases or Cisco networking preferred
