GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Position is responsible for developing the graphical user interface for a toolkit developed under an NSF-sponsored research grant.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
a. Design and code a GUI using Visual C++.
b. Document all code; assisting in writing a user manual.
c. Attend all weekly progress meetings.
POSITION ACTIVITIES
This position assists client's scientists and programmers in the implementation of data extraction, machine-learning algorithms, and other techniques.
REQUIRED SKILLS/TRAINING
Ability to program in Visual C++, ANSI C, and knowledge of MFC, Windows API, and Windows GDI is required. GUI design and development experience is required. Candidates must have excellent communications skills and be able to develop documentation associated with their code and projects.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING
M.S. in Computer Science, mathematics, engineering, or related field with strong computer, writing, and presentation skills.
