-Maintain and upgrade custom testing tools coded in Java & Perl
-Design and execute manual test cases

JOB SKILLS:
-Junior to Medium Java development Skills
-Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Experience: EXPERIENCE:
-1-3 years of Java
-1 year in Quality Assurance
-PERL & SQL experience a plus
-Experience working in UNIX environment
-Experience with web-based application testing
-Experience with full SDLC
-Experience designing test plans, analyzing application systems and writing test cases and use cases.

Database Administrator in New York, NY
Senior Database Administrator
Salary: $120K-$150K Total Compensation + Options
You will work under guidance and supervision of Database Manager to be the primary administrator, as well as a member of the operational support team for Production, Development and QA databases. Maintain data integrity and security for all databases and data warehouses.
Responsibilities:
o Designing and configuring database architecture, including hardware and physical layout
o Handling 'best practice' database troubleshooting, corruption, backup, disaster recovery and security
o Be on call 24x7 on a rotating basis and troubleshoot database issues individually or through a team effort
o Provide support to Database Developers and Software Engineers on SQL Server related issues
o Review and tune SQL queries, stored procedures, SQL Server configuration settings, and performance
o Investigate and resolve data issues as needed
o Perform routine database maintenance, performance monitoring and tuning
o Create documentation for DBA procedures and production database environment
o Must be methodical and able to establish priorities
o Must be able to recognize confidential data issues and maintain this confidentiality
o Assist in Implementing SQL Server high-availability solutions including clustering, replication and log shipping
o Provide support for Clustering environment, DTS packages and Transactional/Merge replication
o Install SQL Server in production, development and quality assurance environments
o Backup and restore databases on live, development or quality assurance servers as needed Experience: Requirements:
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field (required). At least 5 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (2000 and 2005).
Demonstrated experience with all of the following required: Transact-SQL, DTS, Replication, Clustering, Log Shipping, disaster recovery, backup/restore, tuning query performance, using Profiler traces and other performance diagnostic tools. Experience as a database administrator including on-call duties.
