Ability to maintain strong relationships with ML internal support functions (eg front office control, networking groups, etc.) Involvement in a rotation to ensure adequate coverage across for all desks. Hours of coverage required are 0730-1800. Overnight batch support for some applications is also required. Weekend or after hours working to support critical business initiatives such as application deployments, infrastructure changes, Industry-wide tests, or Disaster Recovery tests. Functions Problem management/resolution Resolving user-based queries (eg missing trades, etc.) Update and manage problem tickets appropriately. Own all issues raised through to closure regardless of which team or Vendor ultimately resolves the issue. Raise defect reports to development team or Vendors (where appropriate) for code amendment. Maintaining a knowledge base of known defects and issues, process, techniques etc. Report fixing/custom report generation (these reports should be simple reports). group to produce new applications that meet our clients requirements. The SPA
will be responsible for:
Lead requirements review of the business need and expected functionality,
Develop the code design and review with peers,
Support other programmers with the development tasks,
Produce and implement test plans, record results, update tracker and
Contribute to the writing of documentation and release notes in
conformance with company standards.
Job Specifications:

Business Systems Analyst in New York, NY
A large financial institution located in lower Manhattan seeks a candidate to work a as Business Analyst/Data Analyst for a 1 year plus contract.
This technical Business Analyst position is forthe Global Strategic Trading team of PB Technology located in New York City. This is part of a larger global team with team members in Geneva (Switzerland), Delaware and Columbus. The candidate will be required to work with the extended team and may be required to under-take some travel to some of these locations.
As a Business Analyst, you will serve as liaison between business partners and technology colleagues. Work with the business to analyze business requirements and review/produce functional specifications for any new/change to technology applications. Work with the development team to ensure that they understand the specifications. Work with training team to document system scenarios and identify roles impacted and help develop a change management/training plan. Conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios for the technology functionality testing team. Coordinate UAT testing.
You will be responsible to identify, assess, and document business requirements, recommending business priorities, and advising business on options, risks, and costs. Conduct research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible. Analyze impact of proposed solution across the business, develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews. Assist Quality Assurance team to ensure that requirements documentation can be easily translated into test plans, and ensure that the proper testing plans have been completed. Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation. Provide relevant test scenarios for the testing team. Work with test team to develop system integration test scripts and ensure the testing results correspond to the business expectations
Experience: . Prior experience working in a pressured (dynamic, fast-paced) environment
. Management and creation of project plans, issues lists, and test strategies
. Experience producing statements of work, business requirements documents & functional specifications
. Experience setting up test scenarios
. Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis
. Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle
. Strong analytical skills, leadership skills, writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications
. Expert in gathering user requirements, defining technical solutions and creating technical documentation
. Experience with Visio and/or MS Powerpoint for data flow diagrams is necessary
. Examples of work: Business Requirements Documents, Functional Specifications Documents, data flow diagrams
. Development of business requirements and/or use case methodology
. Strong systems analysis skills (vs. pure business analysis)
