Our Direct client in New york has a System Administrator position.Required skills:
1 Five years experience in a Web based environment, IBM Websphere
2 Experience and in-depth knowledge of SuSe Linux and Windows 2000 Server OS
3 Install and administer various server applications such as application servers (WAS), portal (IBM Portal) and ID Management (TIM)
4 Experience in deploying web based application in a clustering environment
5 Experience in monitoring the performance of the server based hardware and software. Ability to generate reports and troubleshoot system performance
6 Create and follow through on change control for any modifications to the agency?s software or hardware infrastructure
7 Familiarity with HP servers. Ability to install Linux OS and updating all the firmware needed to bring the server up to spec
Desired Skills:
1 Experience in a customer-facing corporate environment
2 Understanding of business process software
3 Understand and experience in disaster recovery, backup and restore processes
