Senior Capital Markets Financial Consultant in NEW YORK, NY
NYC Financial Software Developer seeks a Senior Capital Markets Financial Consultant with a strong background in Capital Markets and Fixed Income. Familiarity with Treasury, Fixed Income and/or Derivatives products would make for an ideal candidate. A successful candidate will have had experience implementing new product procedures and supporting the daily processing, analysis, settlement, and reporting support for the business group. Accounting and Financial Mangers in the Bank Comptrollers or Financial Reporting Groups would be of particularly interest as some of the clientele is focused on FAS91 and FAS133 accounting. The key role of the Senior Capital Markets Financial Consultant is to assist clients with implementing and customizing software by offering experience with these banking products. This position requires exceptional communication and organizational skills due to the extensive client interaction. Candidates for this position must flexible to travel to client sites (up to 5 days/ week) and should meet most of the following job requirements.
Experience: 5+ years experience in the financial industry across several areas or extensive experience in one of the following areas:
Capital Markets
Money Market
Bond
CMO, CDO
ABS, MBS
Interest Rate Derivatives
Credit Derivatives
Fixed Income
Treasury
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
Understanding of current technology
Understanding of the Straight Through Processing model
Ability to write specifications and testing plans
Ability to gather requirements from end users, including Back and Front office personnel.
Ability to lead client projects and interface effectively with client project infrastructure teams.
Desired Skills:
Project management experience
Understand and or experience with FAS133; CPA desirable, but not required
Understanding of the current financial technology marketplace
Experience with pricing complex financial instruments
