Citrix System Administrator in New York, NY

A prestigious brokerage company located in NYC is seeking a Citrix Administrator for a 12 month project. The successful candidate will be required to engineer and maintain a Citrix server environment to address functional and scaling requirements as they evolve. Develop and implement solutions to automate and maintain systems and user level configurations for a large server infrastructure and broad set of users. Ensure security model and independently assess security risk for current and new system requests. Identify, understand and implement firewall requirements for application and system management flows. Active Directory and application level security administration. Engineer well integrated solutions for remote access needs. Work with end users and developers to quickly resolve technology issues. Work closely with the IT community on projects and related tasks. Provide high level customer service to business critical environments. Integrate and package new applications. Provide technical advice and mentoring to developers. Write comprehensive documentation
MUST HAVE BROKERAGE EXPERIENCE Experience: Require 5+ years experience supporting Microsoft desktop and server platform in an enterprise environment . Expertise with Office, desktop developer tools, and common productivity apps such as Visio, Project, Acrobat etc . Thorough knowledge of Citrix Metaframe XP and 3.0 . Thorough knowledge of builds, and system management infrastructure such as Marimba, NetIQ/MOM and patching tools . Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy . Working knowledge of Exchange e-mail, TCP/IP networking and DNS . Good Programming or scripting skills . Understanding of Windows Installer technology and packaging . Excellent analytical and problems solving skills . Good verbal and written skills .
