A prestigious brokerage firm located in NYC is seeking 2 consultants for a 12 month project. The TBS SW Lead Test Engineer will join a team of approximately fifteen developers (located in New Jersey and London) responsible for developing, testing and deploying the Firm's new Treasury Banking System (TBS). TBS will support key Treasury Operations functions for the Firm globally and operate in most currency markets worldwide. Key functions include: execution of cash payments, processing of credit advices and maintenance of the bank sub-ledger. TBS has significant database activities and messaging components and is one of the key Java applications within the Firm.


Develop and execute software test cases and scripts for testing backend and GUI

· Perform integration and acceptance testing of new software

· Manage requests and issues related to the test infrastructure (e.g., database, messaging)

· Anticipate systems integration testing challenges

· Review test plans

· Maintain the quality and overall integrity of test data

· Maintain and extend software simulators

· Monitor unit test coverage reports for critical gaps

· Extend the coverage of existing departmental regression tests

· Proactively participate in the continuing design process

· Utilize documentation on business requirements and high-level architecture.


Experience: Systems testing and regression testing experience Professional programming experience, with at least one year in Java Experience with multiple server, distributed systems (preferably transaction processing) Experience with enterprise messaging (e.g., Tibco EMS, WebSphere MQ) UNIX scripting skills (Perl preferred) SQL and basic RDMBS skills (UDB and Sybase preferred) CVS Experience (to include branching operations) Excellent communication skills Able to perform in a fast-paced, tactical environment Team-player with a strong desire to learn Detail oriented To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
