A prestigious brokerage company located in the NYC area is seeking a Business Analyst/ consultant for a 12 month project. They are replacing a legacy audit planning and execution system with a new system that includes risk assessment, business planning, document and project management, issues management, time tracking, and reporting. The initial release of the new system was rolled out in August 2005, with two additional releases launched in February 2006. Several additional releases are planned for 2006. The project is being driven by a number of factors, including a desire to improve our risk assessment process, regulatory changes, and a commitment by the firm to converge risk control models and technology platforms across MCD, Sox, Operational Risk, and Compliance. MCD requires a full-time senior business analyst (consultant) Role would be to (1) gather, document, socialize, and finalize business and functional requirements, (2) work with technology team to translate business requirements to technical specifications, (3) develop integrated systems testing plan and user acceptance testing plan and test cases, and participate in integrated systems and user acceptance testing, and (4) develop end-user training plan and materials, and participate in implementing training plan.
Experience: They are looking for a pure Business analyst not a systems analyst, not a project manager and not a QA analyst. They are looking for someone with 5-10 years experience and someone with investment banking domain knowledge. The successful candidate will document business requirements and functional specifications using MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and MS Visio (business and systems process flows, screen mock-ups).
