Our client in the process of rebuilding their membership services application which is 14 years old and was originally running on the AS400 platform.
The developer will be revamping the entire application, including its billing functionality and supporting apps. All development will be C# 3.5. Ideally, they would like to have someone with exposure to WPF but that is not a must. SQL Server 2008 on the backend whereas the developer needs to be able to run queries, light stored procedures.
Candidate must be willing and comfortable communicating with users over the phone, troubleshooting user application issues.

. You will be required to start at the client location to pick up tickets and warranty parts than drive to the calls that are assigned to them. Most calls are 20 miles out. Some will be more and some will be less.

Opportunity to become the central architect of the next generation of the key enterprise scheduling and finance system.
Defines the software architecture standards covering software modeling, application code, UI design, query/stored procedure design and the database schema and ensures on-going adherence to the architecture standards.
Defines the design pattern, object-orientation and re-usability strategy for the application.
Interacts with other enterprise architects, adheres to enterprise standards and processes, and ensures appropriate use of technology for enterprise infrastructure.
Defines the technical design and review process and ensures on-going adherence to this process including code review and oversight.
Works with Project Managers in defining the project plan and managing to deliverables.
Works with on-shore and off-shore designers and developers to ensure software quality within budget and timeline.
Oversees on-going system design for enhancements and support.
