We have an immediate need for an Oracle Development DBA.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Skills:
PL/SQL, performance monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, Oracle 10g, UNIX, LINUX, Windows, RAID, SANs, Java, Hibernate, Spring.
We are seeking an Oracle Development DBA for the following:
-Writing PL/SQL code (stored procedures, triggers, database scripts) to implement business logic and database maintenance.
-Database performance monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and data concurrency analysis.
-Data modeling.
-Participation in the design and implementation of a data access layer.
-Various database administration tasks in our development and test environments.
-Developing and maintaining standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-A thorough understanding of Oracle 10g (Enterprise, Parallel and standard editions).
-Hands on familiarity with UNIX, LINUX and Windows Operating Systems, and web application deployment methodologies.
-A strong understanding of performance monitoring and optimization techniques, indexes, constraints, transactions, file groups, stored procedures, full text searching, triggers, cursors, locking, and queue tuning.
-The ability to plan, test, and implement the safe modification of a production database environment during software upgrade cycles.
-A strong understanding of backup and disaster recovery techniques.
-Strong understanding of storage technologies including RAID, SANs, etc.
-Strong understanding of database replication.
-Able to organize, prioritize, and manage personal workload and projects with minimal supervision.
-Team leadership and coaching skills.
-Strong interpersonal communication skills.
-Proficiency with Java, Hibernate and Spring are a plus.
-BS degree in CS or equivalent required.
-Oracle Certifications (highly desirable).
PLEASE NOTE:
This is a 9-12 month W2 Contract position. No 1099s or corp to corps can be considered.
