Client plans to migrate approximately 18,000 employees from All-in-One to an MS Exchange messaging system. This transition must provide continuing business support to the Agency as our staff move from one product to the other. Three technical oriented contract consultants are needed to augment State Staff in the Customer Support Services (Office Automation Support Group and Helpdesk). Job Summary:
The Manager, Technology will oversee the development, design, user interface, technology integration, and site architecture management. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing technology teams from definition phase through implementation, as well as contribute to the sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Use deep understanding of OO design principles to create custom software solutions or modify package solutions
Translate the client's business requirements into systems design
Work with the client's IT organization to establish technology strategy at an application level
Establish high, mid and micro level plans and set technical direction for a team of up to 30 people
Lead the estimation effort for projects and work to identify and manage risk
Prepare elements of sales proposals to represent Sapient's technical expertise
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems integration, package implementation, and/or interactive design, and Architecture experience;
Prior experience in a consulting firm preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Understanding of the project life cycle process to effectively be able to manage a sub-team through the complexities of the business solution.
