Job Title:
Manager, Technology (CMS Solutions Architect)

Job Summary:
The Manager, Technology will oversee the development, design, user interface, technology integration, and site architecture management. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing technology teams from definition phase through implementation, as well as contribute to the sales cycle. You will utilize your in-depth knowledge of CMS (Interwoven preferred) implementations and migrations in this role to bring best of breed solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use deep understanding of OO design principles to create custom software solutions or modify package solutions
  • Provide subject matter expertise and technical leadership to Content Management Systems projects
  • Translate the client's business requirements into systems design
  • Work with the client's IT organization to establish technology strategy at an application level
  • Establish high, mid and micro level plans and set technical direction for a team of up to 30 people
  • Lead the estimation effort for projects and work to identify and manage risk
  • Prepare elements of sales proposals to represent Sapient's technical expertise

    Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems integration, package implementation, and/or interactive design
  • Expertise in Content Management Systems for example Interwoven (preferred), Vignette or Stellent.
  • Must have strong background in Java/J2EE or .NET
  • Prior experience in a consulting firm preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Understanding of the project life cycle process to effectively be able to manage a sub-team through the complexities of the business solution.
  • Knowledge of multiple technologies including (but not limited to): J2EE, Unix, Windows, .NET, HTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, Java and RDBMS
  • Openness to frequent overnight travel
