A well known financial company based out of Jersey City, NJ is looking for a Sr. Active Directory Engineer.


As a Senior Active Directory Support Engineer, you will support and maintain a
high-availability Active Directory Environment
consisting of 15 Forests, 42 Domains surrounded by 642 Domain Controllers
running a mix of 2000/2003 and 2008 Servers.
You will also participate in a rotating 7x24 on-call rotation to respond to escalated
incidents for a Windows 2000, 2003 and ,
2008 server and advanced server environments.
Your function will l be in the 3rd level support arena having constant
communications with back line engineering, vendors and
clients in accordance with documented processes and procedures. In this role,
you will perform troubleshooting and root
cause analysis related to Active Directory authentication / replication for all
supported servers. You will perform documented
system integrations, modifications and additions and comply with release
management, change management, configuration
management, and quality assurance standards.
In this position, you will be responsible to document processes and procedures
as assigned by management, and enforce
Directory Services and server configuration standards. You will ensure that all
managed servers and databases meet or
exceed standards. Also, you will assist in the
creation and maintenance of AD support run
books, maintain, tune Active Directory for all CTS supported environments
while adhering to best practices standards. You
will also provide ongoing customer project support, as well as reporting and
analysis for management and the client.

Experience: Qualifications:
. 10+ years of hands-on support experience on Windows 2000/2003,
2008 Server
. 5+ years of hands-on support experience on Active Directory
. 2 years of experience with Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM)
. Working knowledge of Netware 6.0 and 6.5 a plus
. 3 years of VB (Visual Basic) Scripting a plus
. 4 years of general server support experience preferred
. MCSE preferred
. 3 years of MIIS / ILM experience preferred
. 2 years of Quest ARS experience a plus

Department Overview

Equity Derivatives Technology provides IT development and support for the Equity Derivatives business. Equity Derivatives covers a variety of business lines, including Arbitrage, Volatility, Exotics, Fund Linked derivative and Convertible Bond trading. Trading desks are currently in London, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong with Sales in offices worldwide.

Main Duties

Will work on full project life cycle within a self-directed and self-organizing team to deliver high quality, robust technical solutions. The team will be focusing on deal entry, sales / trader enrichment workflow and STP into the front office prime record risk system. Hands on developer, but will involve being delivery focused and potentially taking responsibility for coordinating the work of one/two other team members.

Responsibilities:
. Gather requirements from Sales, Trading and Middle Office using appropriate techniques and agree scope.
