C# Developer - Finance (Market Risk)
Overview & Background
Top world-wide investment bank is seeking a highly experienced C# Developer to support the Financial Risk Management group in daily risk-management activities. In this role, you must be prepared to come in and hit the ground running to improve and replace the existing technology infrastructure currently in place as well as work on new projects.
NOTE: If you do not have at least 3 years of strong C# developer experience in a financial institution working in Market Risk - PLEASE do not reply to this job post as you will definitely not be considered.
Job Description
You will be working alongside multiple developers and technical leads to design new solutions in Market Risk architecture. In addition to implementing specifications, the candidate will be testing solutions to the existing system as well as the new systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis on functional and technical specifications and requirements.
- Oversee junior developers.
- Set standards, perform code reviews and contribute to development standards within the department.
Experience: Required Experience/Skills:
- MUST have advanced knowledge of C# developing in a financial institution.
- MUST have Windows Communication Foundation experience.
- Multi-threading in an enterprise environment knowledge.
- MUST have good Oracle programming experience using PL/SQL coding; relational database design; schema design; performance tuning; stored procedures; packages.
- Strong OOP design skills.
- Full SDLC experience - waterfall & iterative methods.
- Effective ability to solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of finance markets.
- Ability to work alone as well as in a team-environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Knowledge of credit derivatives, debt products, FX, commodities, and basic risk management principles.
