Job Description Position: VB.Net Developer Location: Westbury, NY Length: 18-24 Months Rate: DOE Long Island based financial firm that provides investment solutions currently has a need for a mid-tier VB.net developer. Description This is an exciting hands-on opportunity for a mid-tier programmer to enhance our existing software while actively participating in the development of new projects. Candidates must have experience in large scale software engineering in addition to having extensive database programming experience using products such as ADO.NET and SQL Server. Java experience a plus. Requirements: * Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related degree * Object-Oriented Programming experience on a Windows platform Requirements: * Visual Basic.NET, ADO.NET, and firm understanding of a relational database, preferably SQL Server * Ability to create technical documentation based on business requirements * Strong judgment, team oriented, and great communication skills. * Ambition to learn new technologies * Familiarity with Visual Basic 6.0
