SCOPE: Client is developing a next-gen platform for mobile delivery of their proprietary components on to their users portable devices. The content distributed is targeted at every segment within the suite of these components; the expectation is that this set of deliverables will be accessible through many different platforms, including but not limited to Blackberry, iPhone, and others; and to leverage as much automation as possible through various emulators and live testing tools. All levels of testing will be required to be engaged by this candidate. Candidate should have a good understanding of the Financial Markets and the various terminologies used in typical market applications. While they do not need to be experts in this area, they should be familiar with commonly used terms and various financial instruments. They should understand how markets move and how and why these applications would be used by various financial professionals. Candidates should be knowledgeable in automating test cases using QTP {Quick Test Professional} & DeviceAnywhere. RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidate will be responsible for testing of this customer deliverable during every aspect of the product development process. During the build process, the candidate will have to coordinate test cases, scripting, and execution. As releases become more and more robust, the usage of automated testing tools will be a requirement, so any experience there will be a plus. As this product is one which will be delivered via mobile platform, any experience with testing mobile applications is also a desired skill set. Candidate will have direct ownership of the bug process from the QA standpoint and will be responsible for providing various reports on bug tracking and trending as the release process moves forward. Testing of the application will include, but not be limited to data validation, application installation, verification and conformation to specs and UI testing. In addition, the candidate should be familiar with various browsers and versions as well as a thorough understanding of the delivery of applications through various mobile platforms. A familiarity with financial applications and market data would be a desired skill set as well. REQUIRED SKILLS: --MS Office --Familiarity with various web technologies, including but not limited to IIS, browser technology and a strong understanding of web programming practices. --Familiarity with bug tracking tools --Ability to document problems clearly and concisely with a complete understanding of the underlying problems. --Years of experience can be negotiable, but the level of experience is key as this is not an entry level position.
