Currently, we have an exciting career opportunity for a Communications Intern in our New York City office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist staff consultant/electronic media specialist and graphic designer preparing comps in Powerpoint of future client web sites; upload documents and content into Aon web systems, edit html, apply personalization and customization codes to content in web systems, possibly prepare design comps for presentation if candidate has strength in graphic design.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Proficiency with Dreamweaver or GoLive, PhotoShop, and ImageReady software a must. Experience with Quark, JavaScript, Flash and database applications a plus, but not necessary. Familiarity with basic html/ability to code basic html. Fundamental knowledge of web design principles. Detail oriented. Familiarity with both PC and Mac environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Project, Excel, and Powerpoint). Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as time and project management skills are required. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High School diploma or G.E.D; some college coursework in communication, html, and graphic design preferred.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate will have some web design experience (Portfolio preferred - school work is fine).
Prefer previous experience in business environment. Candidate needs to demonstrate competency of performing web work. Must know how to take instruction and work to meet tight deadlines.
