In this job you will develop sophisticated software solutions for a mission critical UNIX based trading system. You will be accountable for analyzing requirements, designing specifications using UML, developing C++ solutions, adhering to department development and testing standards including building comprehensive unit tests and participating in peer design/code reviews.
You will also be responsible for coaching team members and actively participating in team problem solving. You will be a member of a large team of high performing engineers managed by a strong software development process that fosters growth and creativity.
Experience: BS, MS or equivalent in Computer Science or closely related field Extensive C++ development experience with at least 1 year of experience on a single project or product. Experience working under the guidelines of a formal software development process Knowledge and understanding of object-oriented design concepts with UML Good UNIX skills; scripting a plus Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Self-motivated and able to work both within a strong team and with minimal supervision Strong planning, estimation, and coordination skills Basic knowledge of the Stock Market and Wall Street trading concepts.
