I. Position Summary:
Perform telecommunication tasks relating to Company billing, telecommunication reporting, database maintenance, project management and telecommunication system administration for JetBlue?s main site locations.
II. Essential Functions:
? Assist in the design and implementation of voice services
? Act as primary point of contact regarding all voice related issues for assigned facilities
? Troubleshoot and resolve voice related problems
? Coordinate with vendors on troubleshooting voice related problems and equipment purchasing
? Maintain accurate inventory of voice equipment and updated documentation for East Coast voice operations
? Ensure the closing of all assigned trouble tickets dealing with voice related problems
? Minimize delays for all Crewmembers supported
? Coordinate moves, adds and changes for East Coast voice services
? Assist the Telecom Manager on projects such as new phone system installs, upgrades etc.
? Assign and monitor Crewmember voice requests and ensure requests are completed in a timely manner
? Maintain accurate telecommunication documentation
? Assist with telecommunication billing
? Assist in the design and maintenance of the IT Telecom SharePoint website
? Manager internet access server (IAS) Microsoft firewall
III. Minimum Qualifications:
? High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma required
? One (1) to five (5) years experience in telecommunication or IT field
? Experience with cross connecting and terminating phone lines
? Experience with Avaya phone system equipment and peripherals, Ecas, Call Center Analyzer, CMS and IP Agent
? Regular attendance is required
? Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
? Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance
? Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
? Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
? When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
IV. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Telecom Engineer ? Specific Competencies
? Knowledge of telecommunication cabling standards
? Knowledge of Avaya products and software administration including the following PBX platforms: G3i, IP600, Prologix and Partner phone systems
? Knowledge of Definity and Intuity Audix voice mail solutions
? Knowledge of T1 provisioning and troubleshooting
? Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
? Knowledge of phone system call flow and design (trunking, vectoring and agent setup)
? Knowledge of data networking and VoIP preferred
? Knowledge of telecommunications billing and call reporting preferred
? Ability to perform basic phone system administration on Avaya G3R, G3I and IP600 platforms
Engineer Level ? Core Competencies
? Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Visio
? Knowledge of technology fundamentals and concepts (Microsoft technologies preferred)
? Knowledge of JetBlue?s business units and how their needs drive IT work
