Description Our client, a global financial services firm and a market leader in securities, asset management and credit services, is seeking a Junior Project Manager. Location: New York, NY Type of Position: Contract The client is looking for JUNIOR Project Managers to support planning and implementation of IT Segregation of Duties program including vendor solutions and custom development. Role will work to develop detailed project plans identifying key interdependences and resource constraints. Role will work with global team and will consolidate work streams to provide centralized view. Resource will coordinate status reporting tracking all issues and risks and provide project visibility to all levels of management Role will support change management including assessment of impact and formal approval. Skills Required: Experience implementing complex Security/Entitlement systems with large financial firmsUnderstanding of regulatory landscape as it relates to financial industryExperience developing detailed project plans working closely with technical staffAt least 5+ years experience managing projects within a formal SDLC structureAbility to develop relationships and influence resources not directly managedAbility to drive priorities and escalate issues as appropriateExpert with MS ProjectExecution and deliverable focused Skills Desired: Experience with HP Project and Portfolio Management (f.k.a. Mercury IT Governance and Kantana) Deep understanding of IT Security and Entitlement management principlesProven leadership with effective organizational and interpersonal skills Experience in working with teams geographically dispersed Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, demanding and team-oriented environmentSelf motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership and accountability
