? Performance and tuning including identifying issues and resolve
? Design review
? Design / rollout Sybase and MS SQL server to development, test and production environments
? Perform routine daily tasks as a senior level DBA.
? Recommend and implement infrastructure changes as needed to satisfy service level requirements.
? Coordinate and direct work efforts for other staff, as well as external groups (e.g., internal support groups, application programmers).
? Provide regular reporting regarding usage, resources, problems, changes, and other production statistics.
? Installation, upgrades and maintenance of the DBMS (on Solaris, HP, Linux platforms and MS SQL server on Windows platforms)
? Support space management
? Support Informatica
? Perform necessary problem troubleshooting, escalating, resolution, and reporting activities.
? Support vendor applications.
? Provide 24x7 on-call support per DBA rotation schedule
? Support disaster recovery exercises
? Provide recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision.
