NO 3RD PARTIES, C2C, etc.-- PAID RELOCATION IS NOT OFFERED WITH THIS OPPORTUNITYOur Client currently seeks a BUSINESS ANALYST for a CONTRACT-TO-HIRE opportunity.POSITION SUMMARY:The Business Analyst (BA) serves as liaison responsible for requirements gathering and business analysis of critical trading projects, and provides detailed business requirement documents in support of technical solutions. The Business Analyst (BA) is in constant contact with the user community in the day-to-day support and maintenance of trading applications. The BA is responsible for the collection, analysis, review, documentation and effective communication of business requirements to the IT development team(s) and the Project/Product Manager (PM). In addition, the BA may be responsible for the project management of small-scale projects for the trading solutions team. The BA will have a strong understanding of information systems; business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for the business, and understands the short- and long-term direction of the business and technology. The Analyst will provide Application support for the trading desks and for each of the systems in their assigned areaRESPONSIBILITIES:Liaises with the business community to define business requirements for assigned projects and other job requests. Provide Application Support and troubleshooting for production units. Analyzes and translates business requirements into technical specifications. Follows up on assigned tasks to ensure that business needs are being carried out as planned. Manages Quality Assurance Testing and Regression Testing of new releases Coordinates User Acceptance Testing with end-users Collaborates with the project team to complete technical support documentation and user guides. Works on any other project tasks assigned by the project manager. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:Work with Fixed Income and a Fixed income trading environment 5 Years of Business/Process Analysis in the financial services industry 3-5 years of Brokerage/Trading support experience Experience troubleshooting and handling production issues Knowledge of Bloomberg Toms, eSpeed, Brokertec Loannet, Slate system Fixed Income Tradeflow knowledge Background in process flow and business analysis. Business Analyst experience working with development teams, including SDLC Software Development Lifecycle process and methodology Experience creating Business Requirements Documents, Use Cases, Test Cases and Scenarios, Regression Test Plans, Support documentation, User Guides Familiarity with Networking, Infrastructure, Systems, and Databases Effective documentation capabilities. Assimilate facts, evaluate perception and apply critical reasoning and make recommendations to arrive at optimal outcome. Anticipate/forecast critical points and make adjustments to deliver to commitments. Experience collaborating with both business and technical teams. Utilize creative problem solving techniques to provide innovative recommendations and solutions. Strong organization and communication skills.
