IS Analyst in Not Specified, NY

Duties: Responsible for supporting a number of computer systems including the Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Engineering (CAD/CAE) System, Teamcenter Document Management System, Electric Geographic Information System (EGIS) and other miscellaneous systems used by Long Island Electric T&D, Electric Generation, and Energy Trading Organizations. Typical support work includes: * Performing application/system fix on fail and root cause analysis. * Proactive and preventive system maintenance. * Standby and callout. * Source code management (of production code). * Monitoring systems. * Software patch/fixes related to fix on fail. * Disaster recovery support. * SOX/audit support. * Documentation/knowledge repository. Skills: Applicants with work related experience will also be considered. Strong programming skills using LISP, VBA, C, Coldfusion, .NET, etc Strong working knowledge of computer hardware (PCs, laptops, servers), software (Autocad, Raster Design, Autodesk Map 3D, ArcFM, ArcGIS), operating systems (Windows, UNIX), networking (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN), and databases (MS Access, Oracle, Sybase). Experience with supporting IS systems in production environment. An understanding of IS policies and Electric/Gas business knowledge is beneficial. Applicants must possess strong leadership, analytical, and verbal/written communications skills. Education: Bachelors degree strongly preferred.
