Description: The Network Engineer works as part of the Systems Engineering/Network Operations team and is responsible for network design, administration, uptime, performance, security, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UNIX/Linux/Windows environments, Cisco switching/routing, firewall configuration and possess in-depth knowledge of network protocol behavior as well as wired and wireless experience.
Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Previous experience in networking including design and implementationExcellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco Routers, Switches and Firewalls Experience with Juniper Firewalls a plusExcellent knowledge of networking technologies such as IPSec, OSPF, BGP, HSRP and Multicast In-depth experience with networking tools such as ping and traceroute. Experience with RRDtool or Nagios a plus. Broad understanding of i386 hardware diagnostics and repairExperience with Windows Servers, Linux Servers (RedHat), UnixCertification Required (CCNA or CCNE)
