Our client, a large Marketer of Computer equipment is looking for a SAP/FI-CO Configuration Project Manager for a FTE position.
Responsible for managing, implementing, and supporting projects using SAP and other business applications.
Duties:
. Management of SAP implementation and configuration.
. Identifying applications solutions.
. Leading projects to implement those solutions.
. Implementation of CO and FI modules.
. Ensuring user/customer service.
. Maximizing the contribution to the business.
. Monitoring, documenting and communicating status.
. Identifying risks.
o Day to Day support activities to include:
. Supporting SAP system modules for FI/CO,
. Configuration changes as required (development environment).
. Period opening and closing activities.
. Coordination with ABAP and Basis resource as required to make program changes.
. Testing of all changes in the programs (development environment)
. Maintaining documentation.
. Guiding the users for any user level error or problem.
. Training the users, whenever necessary.
. Defining Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and documenting.
. IT contact for SAP application support, configuration, analysis, projects, business and system re-design, and technical solutions.
. Responsibilities also include writing design documentation, creating detailed functional specifications, and system configuration. The focus will be on delivering quality solutions on time with little day-to-day direction.
Qualifications:
. Leadership and planning skills, and the technical subject matter expertise necessary to deliver a world-class SAP system that meets both the business and technology needs of the company.
. Project management experience in AP ERP upgrades or BI
. Experience with SAP configuration, including at least 2 SAP implementations or upgrades.
. Experience with requirements analysis, application design, construction, cross-module integrations, cut-over strategies, testing strategies, and post go-live support.
. Minimum of 5 - 8 years experience with SAP modules.
. Comprehensive knowledge of interfaces with all SAP modules including (FI/CO) Financial (FI), Controlling (CO),
. Knowledge of new and emerging technologies, such as Netweaver, is required in order to facilitate and deliver system development and improvements.
. Working knowledge of SAP BI 7.0 is helpful.
. FI experience including Fixed Assets, GL, AP, AR, and Report Paint.
. Experience in SAP ERP 6.0
. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in finance functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Consolidations, Product Costing, and Revenue Recognition processes and postings are required.
. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or other related field with a Master's degree preferred.
. Experience with multiple valuation areas/multiple currencies and revenue recognition in a high-tech environment.
Experience: 1) Must have past experience leading at least 2 SAP Implementations or Leading FI/CO Configurations
2) This person must be very well versed with the Finance and Controlling Modules
3) SAP Certification --this would make the candidate a "superstar" according to the client
