Basic Function:Responsible for ensuring that M&T's computing resources and resident data information are adequately protected from unauthorized access and provide appropriate access for employee job functions.Responsibilities:Examine the System Access Requests to provide the access that is requested based on the requestors job junction and proper authorization. Create System ID’s to access various platforms and applications, grant File access or Transaction access to various applications and allow capability to print application reports. Seek additional information on a request that is in question based on missing information or incomplete authorization. Make phone calls, e-mails and inquiries on assorted database information. Respond to customer inquiries regarding the access request process, policies and procedures. Consult with internal departments to determine functions in order to ensure that the proper level of system access is granted. Provide input to management based on job experience to achieve a more efficient workflow. Research and complete assigned projects. Analyze access issues to determine root cause and resolve issues. Administer Platform and Application level security. Requires knowledge of platform and understanding of distributed application and business requirements. Work with department representatives to identify the proper security access required for the various positions within the department. Troubleshoot and resolve problems that are presented to the Help Desk involving security access.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree or equivalent in work experience. Three years previous experience in Data/Information Security. Knowledge of ACF2 and/or Active Directory/eDirectory security administration. Strong PC skills and knowledge.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-motivated, well-organized individual.Ability to work under time constraints.Ability to function professionally at many levels (clients, management, peers).Basic knowledge of platform and application security principles.Ideal Qualifications:Application level security experience desired.Basic understanding of Platform and Application level security packages.Working knowledge of the Bank's security policies and standards.
