Regional Research Manager--NYC Office Role The Regional Research Manager is responsible for managing a team of researchers, liaising and building relationships with the banks, maintaining data quality standards and expanding data coverage. CONTEXT The jobholder: An individual with experience in managing a team and keen interest in financial markets, he or she will contribute passion and leadership to a lively and busy department within a fast moving and well respected organization. The role / department: The Analytics Division provides a competitive benchmarking platform to virtually every major investment bank worldwide. The Mergers & Acquisitions team are responsible for ensuring that all M&A transactions are accurately reflected on the platform. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Data Verification & Data Projects Create, review and improve data quality processes and checks on an ongoing basis and ensure that data quality is maintained at optimum levels Manage data projects within tight deadlines 2 Training & Motivating Staff Use best practice to supervise, train, mentor and motivate new and existing team members Ensure staffing levels are maintained and reviewed in accordance with the departmental needs Maintain effective communication with M&A teams in other offices 3 Research & Communication Maintain and establish research contacts for the Americas Follow market trends for the Americas and alert Global Research Manager of any new developments within M&A Provide excellence of service to clients and internal departments Future Development - Career Path In the department: Global Research Manager In the division: The Company looks to continue to challenge and stimulate the careers of its employees and opportunities in other locations, departments and product areas can often be found Experience: 2-7 years experience in Financial/Transactional , M & A, Financial Software, Banking or Hedge Fund setting.
