Senior Business Analyst to $120k+ - Financial Services in New York, NY

Terrific opportunity for a professional individual with 3-5 years of consulting experience preferably with a strong methodology training program. As a Senior Business Analyst for this leading full service real estate finance company, you will be responsible for: Designing new processes and information technology systems for company-wide and business unit-specific applications. Act as the primary liaison between the business units and the information technology group. Oversee the design, development, and testing of all major IT projects at the firm in conjunction with the IT group. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent written and oral communication skills. Primary duties include: Interview key players in asset management, underwriting, construction, insurance management, tax credit acquisitions, accounting, debt origination, developer services and workouts to assess current and future state business requirements for a company-wide database. Develop visioning documents which summarize key findings and outline a series of projects that will meet the future state requirements; prepare the business cases for the projects. Create scope of work, task matrix and analysis documents including issue analysis, key functionality, benefits, recommendations, and gap analysis. Develop cost estimates, return-on-investment analysis, work schedules, and project timelines. Create work plans and communication and change control strategies. Design and help test business unit and company-wide IT applications. Design and develop reports for management, internal groups, and outside entities. Develop a change management strategy for new acquisitions. Skills required: Financial and Real Estate modeling. Knowledge of consulting methodology and documentation templates. Should have 3-5 years of consulting. IT design, development and testing experience is required. Accounting experience is a PLUS. Management experience preferred. MBA in Real Estate or Finance preferred.
