Our client is a financial content firm located in Midtown Manhattan, they seek a talented and dedicated Web Project Manager/Business Analyst. The Web PM/BA will shape business requirements and create user interface specifications for web-based products. You will report to the CTO and work closely with business users and all members of the development team.

In addition, this position will have a clear understanding of web development processes and help define new processes to continually improve the company's approach to technology projects. This position is a high-visibility role within the company and will directly impact the quality and success of their products and drive revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of web work experience, strong communication skills, and in-depth knowledge of requirements analysis, usability, and project planning. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly person who values small company culture and teamwork. This person should be a self-starter and be forward thinking.

The candidate must have experience in a LAMP (Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP) production environment.


Job Functions:
- Lead new project assessment to define high-level scope for prioritization purposes and support project scheduling within overall Technology Roadmap.
- Work closely with various business departments to shape business processes, objectives and requirements on approved projects. Resolve ambiguities when requirements are unclear.
- Responsible for obtaining business driver approval and sign-off on business requirements.
- Responsible for project estimating. Work closely with project manager and development team to understand project complexity, effort, and resource needs.
- Develop and maintain project milestones & high-level timelines (project manager will manage tasks and iterations).
- Manage project scope and plan projects into logical phases. Communicate changes and impact on project delivery to CTO and projects business sponsor.
- Review project requirements with developers and work closely with development team throughout project to further detail specifications.
- Assist QA to review test plans and answer questions.
- Maintain a focus on user experience and usability. Perform user-acceptance testing of new functionality.
- Conduct build vs. buy analysis and make recommendations to CTO.
- Manage vendor relationships for technical projects and integrations.
- Support project enrichment ideas from the technology team to the business director.
- Convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Positive and responsive attitude to support requests from business.
- Create and maintain quality documentation.
- Stay current on new technologies in the industry and understand the open source community.


Job Requirements:
- Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Must have experience driving revenue-generating initiatives.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess a knowledge of iterative and user centered design development methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Expert ability in eliciting, documenting, and evaluating business requirements, including modeling business processes, information architecture, wireframe, and user profiling.
- Proficient use of Visio and MS Project (or other project planning tool).
Possess solid business acumen.
- Must be able to develop strong relationships across all areas of the business and at all levels ? staff through senior management.
- Must be highly organized.
