- Support and enhance WAP portal applications and content delivery to mobile phones in LAMP environment
- Support and enhance systems for user subscription management, messaging and integration with 3rd party billing systems.
- Design, develop, document and support APIs and middleware for integration with 3rd party systems
- Design and automate the development of portal applications to efficiently support numerous content partners
- Contribute to a team of senior developers with the goal of re-architecting said systems for scalability, extensibility and maintainability
- Implement support for new content types and new wireless device features.
- Practice test driven development, continuous integration, refactoring, and iterative development
- Be a mentor and provide guidance to the junior programming staff
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent software development experience
5-7 years experience in software development
Strong communication skills and ability to perform effectively in a demanding, team oriented environment
Demonstrated leadership potential and eventual capacity to lead a team of engineers
Experience with an on-line, database driven or transaction oriented sites Experience: Required Qualifications: - Java programming, PHP and/or Python desired - Strong SQL database experience - Linux proficiency - Knowledge of database/data warehouse design and architecture - Proficiency in Object Oriented Design - Knowledge of SDLC (software development life cycle) - Experience working in an environment that practices agile development - Proficient in use of contemporary source code management systems including Subversion and CVS Desired Qualifications: Mobile device and/or mobile messaging (SMS, MMS, etc.) WAP experience (WML 1.x, WAP 2.0) Experience with content management systems To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
