I. Position Summary:
The Architect is responsible for setting and maintaining strategic direction using state-of-the-art Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) technologies, presently using BizTalk in a .NET environment. The Architect is also responsible for creating an integration environment that provides maximum stability, up time, throughput, and scalability. Integration includes not only internal system integrations but also with business trading partners. The Architect additionally plays a major role in integrating legacy systems to SAP.
II. Essential Functions:
? Responsible for the day-to-day activities in the support of the enterprise application integration environment including the following tasks (50%):
o Enables automation of business processes across the enterprise using industry standard technologies (EAI, Web Services etc.) and designs them using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles so that dynamic assembly of new business capabilities with no or minimal effort is enabled technologically
o Works closely with business-to-business, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Customer Relations Management (CRM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Finance, Human Resources and Enterprise Resource and Planning (ERP) towers to inculcate SOA thinking and principles as part of their domain applications
o Helps plan, design, architect and/or develop and support application-to-application solutions and business-to-business exchanges
o Executes day-to-day activities for EAI creation/deployment/support
o Establishes and maintains data and message formats used to integrate various applications
o Problem solving
o Establishes and maintains connection paths between various applications and those of Customers and suppliers
o Recommends and reviews specific application integration techniques and available technologies
o Creates, catalogs and monitors use of common services used for application integration
o Creates and monitors application integration policies and procedures
? Develops project technology strategy by understanding key client objectives; diagnoses and maps client requirements; articulates solution risks and barriers; recommends project approaches; prepares time and cost estimates; and plans full project life cycle (30%)
? Responsible for communicating policies and procedures information to team members. May have direct supervision and administrative responsibilities for Software Engineers/Developers (20%)

Supervision Received:
? Receives general instructions on what is to be done, limitations, quality and quantity expected, deadlines, and priority of assignments from Crewleader. Uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instruction but receives additional specific instructions from Crewleader for new, difficult, or special projects/assignments
Supervisory Duties:
? No supervisory responsibility but is responsible for managing a specific function
IV. Minimum Qualifications:
? Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
? Master's Degree preferred but not required
? One (1) year experience implementing any EAI or Web Service Platform
? BizTalk integration experience including system architecture, administration and development
? One (1) to three (3) years of SAP integration experience preferred but not required
? Regular attendance and punctuality

? Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
? Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
? Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
? When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
V. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
? Able to establish an integration strategy, define needed architectures and standards, and develop integrations
? Must have extensive .NET C# programming skills; understand multi-threading, asynchronous processing, web-services, XML Serialization, Microsoft WS capabilities, and ability to apply those skills to a Microsoft BizTalk 2004 infrastructure
