I. Position Summary:

Install, maintain and troubleshoot server software and hardware. Design networking infrastructure.

II. Essential Functions:

? Responsible for day to day administration of the Windows Server environment
? Maintain and support JetBlue's Windows networking infrastructure including Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and others
? Maintain MS-SQL database applications and interface with business units to move projects to completion and support in a production mode
? Support and troubleshoot server based applications on a local and remote level throughout the enterprise
? Configure, enhance or upgrade server hardware as needed to keep up with the growing demands of the user population
? Monitor servers and address daily server issues

III. Minimum Qualifications:

? High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma required
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
? MCSE certification or equivalent preferred
? Five (5) years experience building and administering Windows servers
? Five (5) years experience with Microsoft networking including TCP/IP
? Five (5) years experience with the hardware aspect of building Intel-Based servers
? Experience with MS-SQL databases and Active Directory
? Regular attendance is required
? Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
? Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance
? Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
? Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
? When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

IV. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Server Engineer - Specific Competencies
? Knowledge of Microsoft server hardware, administration and implementation
? Knowledge of Microsoft networking applications, networking protocols, routers and firewalls

Engineer Level - Core Competencies
? Knowledge of technology fundamentals and concepts (Microsoft technologies preferred)
? Knowledge of JetBlue's business units and how their needs drive IT work
? Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
? Ability to work effectively with all levels and in diverse environments

? Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
? Ability to rapidly resolve issues and recognize when escalation is necessary

V. Working Conditions:

Equipment:

? Desktops
? Network-related equipment and servers

Work Environment:

? Normal office environment with periodic travel to other sites
? Present for core hours but on call 24 hours per day/7 days per week due to potential server issues

Physical Effort:

? Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently. (Sedentary)
