Senior Network Engineer - NY (Job #7096) in New York, NY

Position: Sr. Network Engineer Location: Midtown Manhattan, NY 10017 contract 6 month plus Start ASAP Job Description: The Senior Network Engineer should have 4-5 years experience with the installation, configuration and administration of various network and security devices. In addition this position requires experience with all areas of the VOIP infrastructure. Job Duties - Participating in the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the firm's wide area and local area networks (WAN/LAN), VOIP and network security infrastructure - Configure and administer local and remote Cisco routers and switches - Maintaining clustered Cisco Pix and Checkpoint/Nokia firewalls - Administering VOIP environment including Cisco Call Managers, Unity, Unity Bridge, Personal Assistant and Cicsco 37xx gateways - Developing and following procedures to handle network and security events - Ensuring that the LAN/WAN environment remains secure and that appropriate recovery and redundancy issues are addressed - Managing projects and resolving technical issues - Ability to travel to remote office locations when needed - Flexible work schedule including weekends and nights Required Skills - Experience with Cisco routers and switches, methodologies, and best practices including 6500, 4500, 3750, 38xx, 26xx - Strong understanding of Checkpoint firewalls - Strong understanding of all aspects of the VOIP infrastructure and telecommunications - Experience with dynamic routing protocols like EIGRP & OSPF, NAT, access-lists, and route redistribution - CCNP certified or equivalent work experience - Bachelors degree preferably in computer science Desired Skills - CCSA or CCSE certification - Experience managing Cisco Concentrator VPN - Experience managing Juniper Secure Access SSL VPN - Network Access control (NAC) knowledge - Cisco Secure ACS, TACACS & Ciscoworks experience - Experience with BGP & QOS - Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), F5 Link Controller and/or Riverbed WAN Acceleration products are big pluses - Prior financial services background To apply please email your resume and hourly rate to To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
