TAPE LIBRARIAN / Entry Level in New York, NY

Operator Trainee opportunity. Entry-level position, within a major Enterprise data center, that will include loading and unloading tape drives, putting tapes away in the library, packing and shipping of nightly computer tapes to offsite facilities,labeling computer tapes and maintaining computer tapes in the tape library an orderly and systematic manner. Accurately updating excel log sheets and basic tape maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience:

The successful candidate will be:
• A recent technical school grad with 3.0+/4.0 and some hands-on or courses in Solaris, UNIX or Linux Operating systems.
• Must be a responsible and motivated individual that is flexible and take direction.
• Able to use Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word).
• Prior computer knowledge or experience preferred.
• Good organizational skills.
