PROJECT MANAGER ($70,000-$90000)

LOCATION - Manhattan

Must have a vehicle (car allowance provided)



The Project Manager acts as the main liaison between clients, sales staff and technical engineers during all aspects of the project. The clients would be small to mid-sized businesses within the local area.

The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the success of the project by creating/managing project plans, managing the staff assign to their project, and accurately reporting on the status of the project to our management. The first opportunity will involve managing a large WIFI rollout, which includes numerous locations.



Responsibilities

Coordinates activities with various groups within the company and client to ensure required features are included in the appropriate implementations to support multi-vendor installations

Manage the development and integration of the entire project(s). Deliver consistently high value, 'client ready' work including communications and presentations.

-Write accurate and effective statements of work so both the client and internal staff understands project expectations and roles

Proactively reports project risk and deliverable issues to superiors for assistance

Establish strong client relationships. Performs the role of primary interface with the client - communicates deliverables, conducts client meetings, obtains required client sign off and specifications, client acceptance and billing.

Manage and/or deliver client projects,

- Establish and manage the project plan (development, delivery schedule, resource requirements, 3rd parties, cost budget methodology, tools, standards and quality)



Manages all project resources to perform tasks according to plan and sets expectations concerning project deliverables.

Determines or Contributes Estimates for time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project.

Develops single or multiple project plans incorporating the project variables.

Conducts periodic status checks with customers and team to assess progress against the plan. Performs re-forecasts of project variables as necessary throughout project.

Prepares weekly status reports on all project activities and management issues.

Gather, analyze, and create business requirements and other project related documentation.

Maintain customer relationship to identify and secure additional business by leveraging existing project. Opportunity to be involved in pre-sales function.

Learn new technologies to remain abreast of technological changes and improvements.

When necessary, develop and execute test plans.

Manages third party vendors and/or the integration of third party vendors' product offerings with company's services





Required Skills and Experience

Experience in managing network infrastructure projects (or similar experience).

Understanding of Microsoft Server platforms including installation, integration, configuration and tuning. (server operating systems such as Windows NT, Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2003 Server, for example).

Knowledge of network protocols, routing and switching

Ability to perform network reviews including all systems that comprise an enterprise infrastructure

Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills

Ability to effectively manage clients and subordinates, verbally and in writing.

Proficient in Office Productivity Software Tools with working knowledge of common Microsoft Technology

Experience with MICROSOFT PROJECT, EXCEL, OUTLOOK and WORD.

PLUS - Experience working for either a VAR, systems integrator or consulting company.
