Global Investment Bank located in New York , NY has an immediate full time opportunity for an experienced Application Support Team Leader. Position Overview: Manage the Application Support Team to support active business applications for Equity and Derivatives businesses. Responsibilities: Support business applications for equity businesses. Manage application support team: delegation, resource management, budgeting, recruitment, etc. Provide the interface between groups: users, local and global production teams, development teams, external providers. Vendor management. Provide business analysis, functional and technical requirements as needed. Ensure the appropriate business continuity and disaster recovery plans are documented, specified, implemented and tested. Provide reporting to management (project planning, improvement, incident review, key performance indicators). Ensure the appropriate processes and procedures are in place to control operational risk. Align local processes and procedures with global initiatives. Promote global systems and solutions. Drive efficiency through technical and procedural optimizations. Reports to the RAD EQD Support IT Manager. Qualifications Degree in related field; Advanced degree preferred 7 years plus experience in application support Minimum 2 years in people leadership & team management. 3 years experience Equity and Equity derivatives products. Solid understanding of Front Office-Middle Office-Back Office flows. Strong technical knowledge of networks, desktop and server environments and databases. Experience with development Scripting languages, eg(Perl, Python, Unix shells). Methodologies and tools - ITIL preferred (CMMI, Jira, MSProject, etc. acceptable).
