Oracle Database Administrator in Woodbury, NY

We are seeking an Oracle Database Administrator who will be responsible for performing the installation, tuning, and migration of Oracle databases. This includes all aspects of the database including hot and cold standby backups, security, performance analysis, and capacity planning. Experience: Requirements: 7+ years Oracle DBA experience Experience with logical and physical database design required- STREAMS a plus Experience in SQL and PL/SQL, UNIX Shell Scripting Experience with highly transactional database solutions and architectures Experience in monitoring and handling large database backups and recovery required. Experience in performing Oracle database patching and performance tuning required. Experience with Oracle RDBMS 8i, 9i, 10g. Networking Experience - TCP/IP, Database Connectivity (JDBC, ODBC, etc.) in Java to Database connectivity environments.
