POSITION OVERVIEW, MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
The organization is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work in the business analyst team on a strategic project aimed at integrating Equity Collateral Trading IT applications.
The business analyst will perform business analysis functions on the projects as well as on other firm wide initiatives. They will also be involved in resolving day-to-day business issues.
The candidate will engage with business to understand and articulate business requirements and business use cases; manage multiple projects/enhancements/issues lists; engage with business to obtain signoffs on documentation; create and maintain user manuals/guides; and work with technical team leads to develop functional and technical specifications.
This role involves speaking with a variety of people at all levels in the Equities Business and IT to ascertain requirements and ensure that the product is being delivered per business specifications.
THE FOLLOWING ARE MANDATORY FOR CONSIDERATION:
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
. 4+ years of Business Analysis experience.
. Basic securities industries knowledge required.
. Securities Lending specific experience required.
. Experience writing business requirement specifications and business use cases.
. Experience progressing requirements through the Software Development
Lifecycle - interfacing and coordinating with development, testing, deployment, and support teams.
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
. Knowledge of and experience with the SDLC and software development methodologies.
. Able to effectively interact with business to understand requirements.
