Data Manager in New York, NY

Manage content and dataflow for the Financial Institutions Group's core databases used for analytics and products. Manage the team responsible for processing financial statistics supplied by various sources, both internal and external, into the central databases; monitoring the status of the central databases; maintaining third party data product installations on the network for use by analytic staff directly; training new users of these applications; maintaining calculation models and scripts based on specifications from the Financial Institutions analysts, and processing of new data through these models; handling product support issues related to data; maintaining publication templates and content mappings; documenting business rules related to data processing and ratio calculations; assisting with ad-hoc queries and information retrieval for special report purposes. Experience: Minimum 5 years experience working in a data management position. Proficiency with Excel & Access, including macro development and maintenance, SQL and a relational database environment (Sybase or SQL Server preferred), basic abilities in financial statement analysis, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Willingness and ability to learn quickly new technical and financial skills. Experience in project management or technical training a plus. College degree in Information Management, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
