BASIC FUNCTION:
As part of M&T's Technology Infrastructure the Senior Analyst would perform the analysis, design, programming and implementation on systems and procedures to solve complex business or scientific problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Full/independent administration and development of the M&T Bank Problem and Change Management Application/Platform, HP Peregrine Service Center.
Applies conversions and enhancements to business systems.
Maintains, develops and modifies programs according to detailed specifications.
On call for off shift concerns as necessary or on call support for off-hour production issues.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have experience with ITIL concepts and possess a strong ability to develop applications to business requirements.
Strong knowledge and proficiency for system administration and concepts for the software utilized in area including: Relations database design and management, Java Script, Unix O/S platform and familiarity with Mainframe processing and/or other languages as needed.
Requires a thorough knowledge of the system development life cycle and application development alternatives.
Requires experience with state of the art application development support software and hardware platforms and proficiency in at least one programming language.
Demonstrates a high aptitude for complex problem analysis and resolution.
Strong general computer skills with exposure to PC and Mainframe applications
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently Strong verbal and written communication skills
Minimum of two to four years college with at least six years involvement in systems analysis and application development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
Strong knowledge and proficiency for system administration and concepts for the software utilized in area including: HP Peregrine Service Center, HP Peregrine P4 database, and MS SQL Server
ITIL Certification and/or experience
Bank operations and proven project management experience is a plus
Prior operations experience in a support position and/or in a position requiring a high level of technical customer service
Strong organizational abilities and be capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a professional customer service attitude.
