Great Opportunity in Investement Banking! Position holder will enhance the process control function over the data residing in the Murex system. This requires interaction and support to other departments, including Front Office, Financial Control and Accounting, Back Office, and Market Risk Management. Employee will also perform functions as specified below for transactions and activities as required with respect to the Canada branch. Experience: MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: „X General Functional maintenance of Murex, including instrument, reference and counterparty static data. „X Control of daily fixings and consistency checks of the results. „X Development of fee trees within MUREX. „X Understanding of equity, fixed income. Derivative, swap, and OTC products including swap/smile/currency curves. „X With the assistance of the IT Department, develop and Maintenance of consistency checks on transaction input and internal funding among portfolios. „X Development, Implementation and Control of new generators, and portfolios as requested by Front Offices. „X Report development through dynamic databases. „X Computer literate to extract, match, and develop exception reporting from several source systems. „X Input of securities for all TFM desks. „X Internal Treasury maintenance by portfolio and desk. „X Interact and Support to Back Office, Front Office, Market Risk Management, and Accounting regarding any data quality issues. „X Review and follow-up all Front to Back procedures as they may pertain to the maintenance and improvement of data quality. „X Supervision the initiation of the end of day process OTHER ASSIGNED RESPONSIBILITIES „X Develop, Implement and update procedure manuals as necessary „X Planning, staffing and management of a projected increase to staff. „X Educate staff to be able to delegate duties while participating in special projects and new business development. „X Serve as the department Business Continuity liaison to the Operational Risk BCP Coordinator in developing and maintaining a viable department recovery program in the event that the Bank must evacuate its premises due to an emergency. This responsibility includes updating department plans using the automated software BPSI in order to document department needs and recovery plans. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education: College Degree Job Knowledge: 5 to 7 years experience in financial institution, with combined background in Market Risk Management and/or Back Office and Operations. Knowledge of Murex a plus. Management Skills: Ability to manage small department and display initiative and organizational skills. Other Skills, e.g.: Computer: Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems. Interpersonal: Ability to communicate effectively with technical staff and department heads.
