Our client has an immediate need for a SQL Server DBA who will be responsible for optimization and performance tuning, monitoring the database and the installation and configuration of MS SQL Server vs 7, 2000 and 2005. Experience: As an ideal candidate for this role, you must have completed your Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Three or more years of experience as a SQL Server DBA is required. Knowledge in the following areas is necessary: stored procedures, views, triggers, ect; Crystal report construction; T-SQL. Experience in the following areas is a must: SQL Database Administration; establishing hardware procedures; database migrations from SQL Server 7.0 to 2000, as well as migration from SQL Server 2000 to 2005; Scripting; C++; dataware housing; running tools such as profiler; performance tuning from hardware to SQL server indexing, blocking, deadlocks, ect..; capacity planning.
