<h2> Sr. Sybase Administrator, DBA </H2> <br> <br> Our client, a progressive Wall Street area financial services company, has an immediate need for a Sybase DBA to join their team on a long-term consulting to hire basis. The Sybase DBA will be involved with a Sybase 15 transition from start to finish including partitions and Mirror Activator as they relate to replication server. The environment includes in-house server as well as extensive communication with remote data-centers. The environment currently runs Linux and will likely incorporate Sun Solaris in the future. <br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: -5+ experience as a Sybase DBA is absolutely required.<br> -Hands on experience with Replication Server is a must.<br> -Experience or knowledge of Sybase 15 including partitions and mirror activator is a plus.<br> -Strong communication and presentation skills are a must.<br> -Ability to work effectively with a group of administrators both on and off shore is required.<br> <br> MUST BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATLEY.
