We have an immediate need for a Junior Technical Editor Consultant
JOB DESCRIPTION
We have a search engine client in New York City that is looking for a Jr. Technical Editor. The start date is immediate and the contract is for 3 months.All work must be done on-site.
Looking for some one to edit, convert to a new proprietary system, and reformat close to 1000 KnowledgeBase articles of varying length.
Some of the content is technical, some is business-related, and some is procedural.
Experience Required:
1 to 3 years as a Writer or Editor. (possible recent college graduate)
Worked on HTML projects.
Worked in web-related industry.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Possess solid writing and editing skills - must be prepared to provide samples
- Strong HTML skills
- BA/BS in Writing, English, Communications, or related degree or comparable experience.
- Understanding of Internet-related technologies and familiar with computer technology.
Additional Qualities Required:
- Ability to stay focused and learn quickly
- Proven track record of delivering according to milestones
- Superior communication abilities
- Autonomous but not afraid to ask questions
