Experience: Experience in UI development across multiple platforms
Experience in documenting development specifications for UI design, UI design process and methodologies used in a design development.
The UI Designer is responsible for Developing high level, and/or detailed storyboards, mockups and prototypes to effectively communicate designs and validate usability studies. Additionally, the UI Designer is tasked with creating the general look and feel and graphic designs (splash screens, icons, logos, etc.) that work well across various platforms. The UI Designer also creates, maintains and enforces the UI Style Guide. The UI Designer accomplishes its objectives through various usability methodologies such as Contextual Analysis, User testing and adherence to industry guidelines.
Competitive Knowledge Areas: Business, product, industry, concepts, disciplines, techniques.
* Artistic
* Strong background in HCI and Usability methodology.
* Expert knowledge of Flash or other simulation environment
* Windows or Web application development.
Technical Skills: Defined skill areas, specialized abilities, proficiency in process(es) or functions(s), breadth & depth of practices, principles, programs.
* Free hand drawing
* Experience designing UI for Computer software required and for devices a plus.
* Expert knowledge of Flash and Adobe Photoshop and other graphics tools to create UI prototypes
* Windows or Mac UI Design experience
