We are seeking a SQL Server DBA with the following skills:
You will implement data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. You should be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of Database Administration. You should rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Your job will require being able to perform a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
The position has a need for specialized skills, training, and possible industry certifications as well as real-world experience with high-volume enterprise-class databases. The DBA will need to make technical architecture design decisions with particular consideration to security and scalability.
This position reports to the Director of Web Development.
REQUIRED: 3+ years of experience with SQL Server. We currently are running mainly SQL Server 2005, with some SQL Server 2000, and a few databases on Access and SQL Server 7.
HELPFUL: Experience with writing HTML, Javascript, and CSS.
PLUSSES: Experience with Coldfusion or Ruby
