Client Server Programmer

UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Client Server Programmer to join our Albany, NY team. The successful individual will be responsible for coding and testing all enhancements to the web pages and application components of the project system, assisting in the troubleshooting and resolution of problems and technical issues, and providing other ongoing maintenance of the project applications.

To be considered for the position, candidates must possess the following skills and experiences:

• Associate's Degree or higher
• Experience in application development performing N-Tiered client/server development and Web services
• Experience performing development work in using Visual Studio.Net and Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g, or higher
• Experience performing development work in Windows/NT/2000/XP (or latest version of Microsoft Operating System)

Candidates with the following desired experience will be considered first:

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in developing complex systems in an N-tier environment using Oracle Designer, writing SQL statements for a relational database including PL/SQL, database procedures, and database design using Oracle 8.x or greater

Development and Deployment Experience using Microsoft.Net Web (Web Services, Web Forms, .Net classes)

Experience with Web security protocol (Preferably LDAP and Netegrity SiteMinder.)

Experience in developing COM objects in an MTS environment including installation and migration of components on IIS and App servers

Experience in developing WEB applications using HTML and ASP

Experience in the design and development of web based applications supporting project monitoring and contract service payments.

Experience in developing reports using the Cognos reporting tool
